About the Role
This role leads the evaluation of our state's Workforce Strategy Action Plan to ensure programs deliver measurable social and economic outcomes. You'll provide critical insights that shape future workforce policy and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities
As Principal Evaluation Officer, you will coordinate comprehensive evaluations that assess program effectiveness and inform strategic direction. Your work will directly contribute to evidence-based policy development.

• Lead and coordinate program evaluations using established frameworks
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and submissions for senior stakeholders
• Provide expert advice on evaluation findings to guide policy decisions
• Represent the department in consultations with government and industry partners
• Establish strategic networks to support evaluation activities

About You
We're seeking an experienced professional with demonstrated expertise in program evaluation and policy analysis, capable of delivering rigorous, evidence-based assessments.

• Demonstrated experience in program evaluation and policy review
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret qualitative/quantitative data
• Excellent written communication skills for complex briefs and reports
• Proven stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities
• Knowledge of contemporary workforce challenges
