Our QLD Government client is currently seeking a Principal Evaluation Officer to join their Strategic Policy Branch. In this role you will lead and coordinate the evaluation and review of a program of Queensland Government workforce programs and strategies using an existing framework.

What you will do:

  • Lead and coordinate the evaluation and review of a program of Queensland Government workforce programs and strategies using an existing evaluation framework. The evaluation is aimed at assessing outcomes and to inform future workforce, skills and employment policy, programs and investment.
  • Lead and contribute to the preparation of key reports and submissions briefings and correspondence.
  • Contribute to briefings to the senior departmental representatives and other key stakeholders on evaluation and review activities.
  • Represent the Department through different internal and external engagements.
  • Establish appropriate internal and external networks to gather and share information, and support partnerships, consultation and negotiation to conduct evaluation and review activities and deliver briefings, reports and analysis.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Knowledge of contemporary labour market and workforce challenges in Queensland.
  • Demonstrate experience in writing high quality reviews and evaluations, issues papers, submissions, briefs and correspondence for different audiences and purposes including the ability to be sensitive to the context and impact of the message.
  • Demonstrate high level ability to collate and analyse qualitative and quantitative data, and to synthesise information in order to provide timely and relevant advice on strategic and implementation issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop project plans, monitor progress and adjust plans to bring projects to completion either independently or as a member of a team
  • Demonstrate well-developed communication, consultation and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with a wide variety of key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and with others to problem solve and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
