Role Outline:

Processed invoices accurately and efficiently using accounting software.

Conducted fortnightly EFT pay runs, obtained necessary authorization, and uploaded ABA files.

Created accounts for new suppliers and performed double verification of bank account details.

Maintained up-to-date vendor account data, including ABN and bank account changes.

Reconciled monthly vendor statements and promptly processed missing invoices.

Performed bank reconciliations related to accounts payable and investigated discrepancies.

Resolved invoice disputes with vendors, including incorrect amounts.

Processed employee expense claims and set up employee accounts in the accounting system.

Entered and processed adjustment notes as needed.

Managed direct debit invoices and performed related bank reconciliations.

Responded to stakeholder queries via phone with professionalism and efficiency.

Identified asset purchases and forwarded relevant invoices to the accountant for asset allocation.

Monitored key vendor accounts to ensure timely payments in accordance with invoice terms.

Assisted with month-end tasks, including entering journals for prepaid and accrued expenses.

Supported other ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a similar role.

Proficiency in financial reporting and modelling tools such as XERO, Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Solver is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in an understandable manner.

Collaborative team player with a creative approach to problem-solving.

Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
