Junior Accountant – Permanent Full-Time

Location: Northern Beaches, NSW
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Hours: Monday to Friday + Flexible start & finish time

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Client’s Finance & Accounting team. This role is integral in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of their financial operations, including managing debtors, creditors, job costings, and other accounting functions using our accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

· Monitor and collect outstanding amounts.

· Identify and escalate problematic debtors.

· Prepare monthly management reports detailing sales by account manager.

· Enter creditor information into the accounting system.

· Ensure timely payments in line with cash flow guidelines.

· Prepare reconciliations for various company bank accounts.

· Assist the Group Accountant with month-end tasks and ad-hoc projects.

· Collaborate with Account Managers to streamline billing processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB or XERO.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

High attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
