Established in February 2019 by a dedicated local husband-and-wife hospitality team, Emerge Steakhouse in Geelong has quickly gained a reputation as a premier dining destination. Now proudly certified by Coeliac Australia, Emerge offers a safe and exceptional gluten-free experience, making it a favourite among coeliac diners.
We’re on the lookout for a skilled and motivated chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Emerge and help lead operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
You will be working with a medium, driven, and skilled culinary team preparing seasonal dishes to a high standard. We take our food very seriously but believe that a friendly, safe and respectful work environment is just as important.
What we expect from you:
Grill experience and steak knowledge is a must
Previous experience in a similar role
Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial cooking
Professionalism in all areas of the kitchen
Good understanding of HACCP hygiene standards
Experience in high volume venues is highly regarded
Good communication skills and a commitment to personal development
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
Preparing and cooking food, minimising food wastage
A keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn
