About the Role:
In this key operational role, you will provide executive support for key school initiatives, operational projects and support in the design and implementation of practicum experiences for our students. You’ll play a central part in ensuring the smooth delivery of core services, including the development of impactful operational improvements and process efficiencies across the School. You will be working closely with the School Business Manager, Head of School, Deputy Heads of School, Practicum Program Coordinator and other key stakeholders.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate and ensure the smooth delivery of School operations by working collaboratively with the SBM and key University service providers.
- Act as a recognised authority on school operations, providing advice and support to both administrative and academic staff.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies, including recommendations on resource allocation and operational enhancements.
- Assist the SBM in staffing processes, including recruitment coordination, local induction, and training of new staff members.
- Assist the Practicum Program Coordinator in the design and implementation of practicum experiences that meet accreditation requirements of the relevant professions and Curtin fieldwork policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development of resources required to enhance the student practicum experience and the understanding and participation of industry partners.
- Provide administrative support to the School’s Practicum Program Coordinator.
- Serve as the key contact for internal and external stakeholders on complex operational matters and manage communications across the School regarding changes to processes, policies, or systems.
- Provide high-level administrative and executive support for School committees, working groups, projects, and strategic initiatives.
- Gather, analyse, and report on operational data to inform decision-making, and draft reports and correspondence as required.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with senior staff across the Faculty, schools, and centres.
- Monitor operational resourcing and liaise with the University’s finance function on budget matters, as advised by the SBM.
- Undertake other duties consistent with the role, as required.
Desirable, but not essential:
- Experience in fieldwork education delivery in a large organisation
- Experience with the Sonia student placement management software
As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
