Position: Administrative Intake Officer
Location: Bendigo, Clayton - Carer's Network
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 per annum

We are on the lookout for an experienced administrative assistant, with a vibrant personality and a positive ‘can do’ attitude; who is tech savvy and has a willingness to learn about the Aged Care Industry. You will play a key front line role in helping older Australians access entry-level support services to remain independent at home and in the community.
Experience Required
Manage incoming and outgoing telephone communications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and experience using CRM or client information management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and compassionately with clients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals in person and on the phone.
Able to promote and support consumer choice and participation.
A compassionate approach to care, driven by a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
Client Intake:
You will serve as the primary point of contact, via phone or in person, for our clients, carers, and referrers, responsible for collecting essential information to assess their needs, eligibility, and the urgency of their requirements for aged care services.
Data Entry & Record Keeping:
Demonstrating strong attention to detail, you will ensure accurate documentation of client interactions, assessments, and referrals within client management systems such as My Aged Care (MAC) and our internal CRM.
Liaison & Collaboration:
Work closely with other staff including care advisors, support workers, and allied health professionals. Maintain effective communication with external providers and community services.
Follow-ups & Client Support:
Check in with clients’ post-referral to ensure services have commenced and are meeting expectations. Escalate any issues or changes in needs as required.
About you:
Have at least two years’ administrative experience.
Excellent computer skills (essential)
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal (essential)
Highly motivated with strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Have a compassionate approach to care and improving the quality of others’ lives.
Experience/Qualifications:
Current Victorian Driver License (essential)
Mandatory certificates required in the Care industry (must be willing to obtain)
