Join our powerful GRIT program—supporting young males at risk of or impacted by violence. We walk alongside boys and young men to help them understand their experiences, grow inner strength, and build respectful, lasting relationships in their community.
We are seeking a Community Connector to coordinate and deliver prosocial group activities, support community engagement, and help create a safe and inclusive environment for young men to thrive.
Key responsibilities:
Facilitate group programs including cultural, psychosocial, sport and art activities.
Develop strong connections with local community groups, schools, and services.
Support case management and individual engagement plans.
Create relevant content for social media and online platforms.
Help young people connect with community events, culture, consultations, and peer support.
Actively promote the GRIT values of hope, healing, and healthy relationships.
What you’ll bring:
A degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience delivering youth-focused group programs and activities.
Understanding of trauma-informed, culturally safe, strengths-based practices.
Excellent communication, organisational, and engagement skills.
A current driver’s licence, National Police Check, and Working with Children Check.
