An exciting opportunity for a leadership position in the Broome Family Domestic Violence (FDV) Hub, led by Family Outreach Service. The Manager role is the Broome FDV Hub's key leadership position and leads and inspires the cross-organisational FDV Hub team to ensure high quality, client-centred and integrated service delivery. This role sits on the Leadership Team, contributing to the governance, strategic planning and oversight of the Family Domestic Violence Hub.

Key responsibilities include:

Provide day-to-day leadership to all Family Outreach Service and Alliance Partner workers operating out of the Hub, to ensure high-quality services are delivered and continuously improved

Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to the design and delivery of the Hub

Contribute to budget preparation, planning and monitoring

Lead the Hub’s facility management, workforce and sector development program

Ensure that service reporting, outcomes measurement and continuous improvement is undertaken in line with organisational and funder needs

Manage the Hub’s Workplace Health & Safety processes and procedures, and oversee risk management

In partnership with the Clinical Lead, ensure client services are delivered and that critical incidents, serious issues and complaints are managed in accordance with practice frameworks, professional service standards and Hub guidelines

Bring an innovative approach to current and future service delivery and seek opportunities for service integration and embedding lived experience in the continuous improvement of services.

The person we seek:

To be successful in this role you will have the following capabilities:

Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team and working successfully with Aboriginal staff and clients

Experience working in the family domestic violence setting

Skills and capacity to engage with government and non-government stakeholders relevant to the project

Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with client management systems

Experience in the successful delivery of funded programs to achieve an evaluated outcome delivery

Ability to communicate effectively in the Kimberley cultural context

Strong management and supervisory skills.

Ability to travel

Qualifications and / or training:

Tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Counselling or in a related discipline and/or postgraduate qualifications

A current National Police Clearance (prior to commencement)

A current WA Driver’s License

A current Working with Children Check (prior to commencement)

Ability to undertake all training required for FOS/FDV Hub staff.

Selection Criteria:

Significant experience managing a multi-disciplinary team, working successfully with Aboriginal staff and clients

What we offer

$116,000 - $119,000 per annum, pro rata (4 years with possibility of extension), 5 weeks Annual Leave with 17.5% leave loading, SGC superannuation, Not for Profit generous Salary packaging which includes remote housing benefits, Anniversary payment after 12 months of employment, additional 3 days leave at Christmas and 2 days Mental Health leave, option for a 9-day fortnight, access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and study opportunities. Family Outreach Service (FOS) has partnered as Lead Agency for the Broome FDV Hub with Anglicare WA as the co-lead and Nirrumbuk Aboriginal Corporation, Jalygurr Guwan Aboriginal Corporation, Broome Circle and Legal Aid WA to provide a range of specialist supports for people experiencing family and domestic violence, including advocacy, counselling, legal assistance, and support for children.

The FDV Hub is a welcoming, community-based support service dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all women and children who have experienced, or are currently facing, family and domestic violence (FDV). We offer a range of support services all in one location, including counselling, case management, legal assistance, financial counselling, advocacy, and therapeutic programs, to help women heal from trauma and regain control of their lives. To support parents and caregivers, we also provide a creche service during appointments and group sessions. Our goal is to empower every client by offering culturally appropriate and secure, trauma-informed care in a supportive, non-judgemental space where they can rebuild their strength, confidence and resilience.
