About the Role
Title: Assistant Accountant
Industry: Solar Energy
Location: Sydney CBD
Hourly Rate: $35–$40 + Super
Working Model: 1 year fixed contract with Part-time (24 hours/week) – 2 days in-office, 1 day work from home
Requirements: Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience in Australia

Candidates with local accounting experience are welcome to apply, including those with valid work rights to work 24 hours per week

Main Responsibilities :

• Support the Head of Finance with financial accounting and end-of-month/end-of-year activities.
• Assist in statutory compliance tasks, including audit and financial reporting.
• Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc and management reporting requirements from HQ.
• Take ownership of assigned account reconciliations and maintain accurate books.
• Assist with tax compliance across all legal entities.
• Ensure financial records are accurate and complete; manage data effectively.
• Maintain and document internal processes and financial policies.
• Coordinate with the Project Development team on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and payment queries.
• Continuously improve current tasks and financial processes.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the manager or company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields such as Data or IT.
• Prior experience or exposure in accounting and taxation is preferred.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
• Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Access will be highly regarded.
