About Us

Cabramatta Bowling Club, also known as Cabra Bowls, is a vibrant and professional lawn bowls club in Western Sydney. We are proud to be part of the growing Cabra Bowls Group, which also includes Bundeena Community and Services Club and Club Malua. Across our group, we serve over 17,000 members and employ more than 110 dedicated staff. Our centralised administration team supports all three venues, ensuring smooth and effective operations.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. This part-time role is approximately 20 hours per week, with Fridays fixed, and flexibility across the remaining four weekdays—ideal for those balancing school hours or other commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage accounts payable

Assist with end-of-month accounts preparation

Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records

Manage daily banking and reconciliations

Carry out general administrative duties

Support weekly payroll processing for 100–150 staff using our payroll system

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will bring:

Experience in bookkeeping/accounting (payroll experience is a bonus)

Strong computer skills, particularly in accounting software

Fast, accurate data entry abilities

A keen eye for detail

Excellent communication skills with a professional and approachable manner

The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Previous experience in the club industry is helpful but not essential. Full training will be provided, including a handover from the outgoing Accounts Manager.
