4-day part-time opportunity in an AP-focused Assistant Accountant role

Northern Beaches (Onsite parking) – paying $35 - $40/hr + super

The Company

We are currently recruiting for a well-established and respected Australian business based in the Northern Beaches. Known for their relaxed and supportive work environment, this organisation is seeking a capable and friendly Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month maternity cover.

This is a part-time opportunity (4 days or 30 hours per week) with flexibility around your preferred working days and start/finish times. Perfect for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being part of a small but close-knit team.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

Full-function Accounts Payable (domestic and foreign currency invoices)

Bank and credit card reconciliations

Supplier account reconciliation and AP reporting

Month-end support including accruals and prepayments

General finance admin and ad hoc tasks

Your Background

Our client is looking for a candidate with the following criteria:

Degree qualification in Accounting

1–2+ years' experience in a similar role

Confident communication skills

Experience with MS Dynamics Navision/Business Central highly regarded

Availability to start by early June for a smooth handover
