An exciting opportunity exists to join our organisation in providing sustainability and carbon consulting services for a large range of clients throughout Australia and across the globe.

We are looking for a Sustainability Engineer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the environment to join our team to support in the delivery of organisational GHG audits and product/service life cycle assessments.

This position may also be suitable for recent graduates, in a quantitative discipline, interested in gaining experience in the burgeoning sustainability consulting sector.

Role Key Deliverables:

Provide technical GHG assessments and product life cycle analyses for clients under the CRI NoCO2 certification program throughout the entire process, from initial data template generation, gap analysis, and through to report generation,

Aid in the development and research of life cycle data and maintenance of LCA/GHG datasets and associated product calculations,

Provide articulate liaison with clients to compile data required to undertake assessments in an efficient manner, and provide clear communication in relation to existing gaps in provided information, and

Maintain high degree of compliance to relevant voluntary environmental standards and legislative requirements with minimal error rates.

Essential Experience:

Current experience in a Sustainability Engineer role, or

A recent graduate with relevant tertiary qualifications in a quantitative field including sustainability, engineering or environmental science.

Desired experience/traits:

Strong competency with higher level Microsoft Excel and Office functionalities,

Experience in liaising with external stakeholders in technical contexts,

High attention to detail,

Familiarity with organisational GHG audit and life cycle assessment concepts and standards (ISO14064, ISO14040, ISO14044, ISO14025, EN15804),

Experience with LCA software and databases (OpenLCA & eTool preferred),

Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

Knowledge of scripting/automation languages (primarily VBA, Python also useful),

2D CAD experience, and

Strong ability to work independently.
