About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. This is a full-time position, requiring approximately 38 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting and Design: Develop accurate technical drawings, sketches, charts, and plans for civil infrastructure projects, including drainage, water supply, roads, bridges, and more.

Fieldwork and Testing: Conduct field assessments, site inspections, and laboratory testing to gather critical project data.

Data Analysis and Computation: Collect, interpret, and analyze engineering data, performing necessary calculations to support project design and development.

Cost Estimation and Quality Control: Estimate material quantities and costs, ensuring all work complies with project specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.

Site Supervision and Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of civil infrastructure, coordinating work schedules and supervising field teams.

Material Testing and Surveys: Perform tests on construction materials and soils, and assist in traffic surveys to assess road conditions and traffic patterns.

Technical Coordination: Review and interpret project instructions, select appropriate methodologies, and utilize suitable equipment for efficient project execution.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

A minimum of 1 years of experience in civil engineering drafting or a relevant qualification in civil engineering or drafting (e.g., Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent).

Strong technical skills in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design tools.

A keen eye for detail and accuracy in technical drawings and project documentation.

The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement.

Flexibility to work varied hours as required to meet project deadlines.
