Our client is seeking Lead Business Analyst for a high-performing team in a dynamic data environment supporting strategic outcomes.

This is a newly available opportunity within a progressive government data environment. This role supports system-wide decision-making through robust data frameworks, analytics, and governance practices.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts supporting cross-functional data delivery.
• Translate business needs into actionable insights and data product requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and develop visual prototypes (dashboards, reports) using PowerBI.
• Oversee the analysis of current/future-state business processes.
• Collaborate with data engineers, testers, and stakeholders to drive data initiatives aligned with public education strategy.
• Support transition to Microsoft Fabric, while maintaining Databricks as a core compute platform.
• Champion metadata management and data governance, including stakeholder engagement via Azure Purview.
• Influence and shape agency-wide BI strategies and high-impact data projects.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience leading business analysis teams in a data-driven environment.
• Expertise in Azure, Databricks, PowerBI, and exposure to emerging use of Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse and BI architecture; proficient in SQL, Python, R.
• Familiarity with metadata governance tools (e.g., Purview) and stakeholder engagement best practices.
• Effective communicator with ability to translate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Tertiary qualification in IT, Data Science, or related field (IIBA certifications desirable).
