Key Responsibilities as a Baker or Pastry Chef,

if you are a Baker, it will be mixing, baking (oven’s) shaping and finishing.

If you are a Pastry Chef - pinning, cutting, topping, filling and baking of the Pastry Sweet and Savoury Range.

A passion for quality.

A great team player to work with a diverse team with varying experience.

A desire to Innovate – we are looking for a bread and pastry PASSIONESTA's.

Always Maintaining impeccable housekeeping standards.

What We're Looking for to excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a baker or pastry chef

Flexibility – to early starts in the days, night, and weekend shifts.

Don't live too far away from Banksmeadow

Hands-on with a high energy an enthusiastic and positive attitude.

Great communication skills.

Self-motivated and autonomous work ethic, coupled with a strong team spirit.

The ability to meet deadlines and achieve production targets consistently.

Applicants must have full work rights in Australia to apply.

You are meticulous about quality, always looking at ways to improve the processes for better quality products. You also have a passion for ideas and new products and love working in a team.

Bourke Street Bakery began as a little corner store bakery cafe in the winter of 2004. Paul Allam and David McGuinness were bakers and chefs who shared a love of good food and an appreciation of all things hand made. They also shared a dream to open a little café bakery where everything would be made by hand with dedication and love. Over the years Bourke Street Bakery has grown into a Sydney institution, now with more hands still making and baking with dedication and love.
