General Practice Medical Receptionist in well known busy medical centre in East Toowoomba.

GPS on Curzon are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis, minimum 2 days per week. With option to move to part-time in future.

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, the role involves reception duties including liaising with patients, Doctors and other health care providers, as well as general administration duties.

Our centre is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am until 5 pm with extended operating hours on a Thursday evening until 7 and on a Saturday morning from 8 am until 11 am.

Key Responsibilities

· Greeting patients and other service providers

· Collecting, entering and maintaining accurate and up to date details in Practice Management database.

· Scheduling appointments including various medicals and their components.

· Ensuring accurate billing for patients as well as online claiming of benefits

· Answering telephone enquiries

· Administration support and other ad-hoc administration duties.

· Mail distribution.

Experience and Attributes

· Previous medical reception experience is an advantage but is not essential.

· Well presented and professional manner

· Highly organised with time-management skills

· Detail oriented

· Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient computer skills (knowledge of Best Practice Software is an advantage but not essential).

· Ability to work both within a team and independently.
