We are seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist for approximately 10 - 15 hours per week.

About the Role

As our Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and well-organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and arrive patients with a professional and friendly demeanour

Answer phone calls and schedule appointments efficiently and accurately

Register patients and update demographic information as required

Process patient payments

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception area

Liaise with doctors, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to support smooth patient flow

Assist with administrative duties such as emailing, faxing, and data entry

About You

Requirements:

Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

Proficiency in Best Practice software (highly desirable)

Understanding of Medicare and DVA billing procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Positive attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
