Central Health Alliance is a busy face paced general practice located in Williamtown NSW, next to Newcastle Airport, Our practice nurse role and focus is primarily on acute medical issues, that rely on nursing staff to triage, assess and be directly part of patient care, initiation and management. We have 4 doctors and 5 nurses. At Central Health Alliance we manage a large variety of patients' care, surrounding business needs and no two days are the same.

A Permanent part time position is available for a RN . The position will be casual rate for the first 6 months of the probation period with the final offer at 6 months of PPT 3-4 days a week, including a rotational Saturday shift approximately once a month. This position requires the following flexibility for securement:

Tuesday to Friday - hours of work are approx 9-10hrs shift, commencing at 730am till 6pm.

Saturday - hours of work are approx 6-7hrs shift, commencing 730am till 2pm.

The rate of pay and level of RN qualification is under the Nurses award 2021 MA 000034 - this is not equivalent to public hospital or private hospital settings, it is primary health care setting where Doctors are available for access on every working shift whilst managing your patients, therefore the rate of pay is different.

Positions available:

New Grad Registered Nurse criteria - PPT min hours agreed - 60hrs per fortnight with the flexibility of working up to full time as hours as needed. This position will be predominantly (but not restricted too) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with alternate Fridays and Saturday. There is a 6 month probation period. Pay rates are in accordance with the Nurses Award 2021, Level 1, pay point 1 above award wages are paid - permanent rate is $31p/h, the casual period, the casual loading will be applied in addition to this rate.

I am looking for a nurse who is enthusiastic, friendly, hard working, enjoys hands on clinical nursing environment and willing to be trained in a variety of roles within the practice and develop their nursing skill.

Positions description includes and not limited too: All clinical aspects of nursing including workplace occupational medicals, care plans, triaging and patient assessments.

Registered Nurse (experienced) - Hours as above, both primary care and hospital care are favourable but not essential, further certifications relevant to primary health care essentials desirable. Willingness to take and share all roles of practice nursing as listed below, happy to take part in accreditation and administration management assistance to the clinical nurse manager as tasked.

Must have excellent communication skills, demonstrated time management skills, able to prioritise workload, have initiative and work as part of a team and independently as required.

Current BSL certificate required prior to commencement.

Immunisation certificate or working towards desirable but not essential.

Duties include but not limited too:

- Wound care and management, procedure assisting, performing ECG's, spirometry, audiometry, venepuncture, cannulation, immunisations, CDM care plans, workplace medicals and vaccination clinics ( all training provided).

- Care and management of acutely unwell patients.
