The Role
As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work closely with a team of 3 dedicated doctors and another 2 registered nurses in a small but growing clinical team.
This is a great opportunity to join our friendly team in our expanding clinic.
You will be caring, compassionate and empathetic in your approach to people. Customer service and high-level communication will be at the forefront of your ethos.
You will be skilled at remaining calm in highly tense situations and be confident to resolve matters pragmatically.
This is an ideal position if you have a patient focus and want to make the clinic your own while helping to develop the clinic in all areas of general practice care.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Reporting to, and with the support of, the Practice Manager, you will be a vital member of the team in contributing to the success of the Practice, with key responsibilities entailing:
Wound Management
Immunisations
Procedures
Health Assessment and chronic disease management plans
Treatment Room & Stock Management
Triage – over the phone and in person
Infection Control
Accreditation
Quality improvement
Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed by physicians.
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold strict confidentiality.
Collaborate with the medical team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Offer health education and support to patients and their families.
Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care.
Requirements:
Minimum of 12 months nursing experience, General practice experience is not required, but preferable
Immunisation Accreditation
Current AHPRA Registration
Current CPR Certification
You will be required to provide full working rights and a current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or apply for these prior to commencing employment.).
Qualified Practice Nurse with relevant certifications.
AHPRA registration and eligibility to work in Australia.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
