Project Engineer – Solar Farms & HV Substations
Location: Sydney & travel to site
Salary: up to $130k + Super (flexible for the right candidate)

Design & Build have partnered with a well-established Australian business that’s expanded into full turnkey installations with in-house EPC capability and they're now delivering major renewable energy projects, including a 100MW Solar Farm and high-voltage substation works.

This rapid growth and several exciting projects underway, the team is now looking for a Project Engineer to join them.

As Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering large-scale solar and HV substation projects while being supported by a team of long standing employees.

This is a site-based role requiring travel outside Sydney on a FIFO or DIDO basis. You’ll need to be comfortable working away from home on rotation.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Director and Construction Manager on technical matters across site
• Collaborate with the Design Manager to resolve technical issues
• Act as a technical link between the employer and subcontractors during installation and commissioning
• Represent the Construction Manager in discussions with the client’s site representatives

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (Civil or Mechanical also considered)
• Experience in HV Substation (33kV and above), Solar Farm construction, or similar HV infrastructure
• Hands-on, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in smaller teams
• Strong values and a team-first attitude
• Willing and able to travel to and work from remote project sites
