Financial Governance Manager

• Salary: Up to $200,000 package + sti

This is one of several new roles in the Financial Governance team as part of a strategic uplift. You'll work closely with peers and senior stakeholders in Financial Control, Risk, Compliance, Investments, and Audit.

You'll join specialist team within Financial Control that sits at the intersection of finance, regulation, and risk.

The Opportunity

You'll form part of the first line of defence across financial control - providing a critical layer of oversight on financial processes, APRA and statutory reporting, reconciliations, accounting

Your focus will be on governance, controls, and regulatory change - interpreting new APRA requirements and accounting standards, reviewing reporting frameworks, and contributing to a stronger control environment across the fund.

You'll also play a key role in incident management, ensuring issues are documented, analysed, and tracked through to resolution. This is a visible role with regular interaction with senior finance leaders, the Board, and regulators.

Your Background

You'll likely come from a Big 4 background with 6-10 years of experience and exposure to financial services - ideally superannuation, wealth, or banking.

You'll bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and regulatory awareness (e.g. APRA reporting, AASB)
• Experience in financial governance, controls, or oversight
• Exceptional communication skills - able to partner, influence and support teams across finance
