Are you an experienced financial professional with a passion for asset accounting and governance? An exciting opportunity exists for a Financial Advisor (APS 6) to join a dynamic Asset Accounting and Reporting team. This role offers exposure to high-value strategic financial reporting and asset management.

Your new role

As an APS 6 Financial Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing data analysis to support strategic management reporting.
  
• Managing governance requirements and risk oversight within financial frameworks.
  
• Contributing to the Fixed Assets Register and Inventory Holdings.
  
• Supporting external financial reporting functions, including reconciliations and financial statement analysis.
  
• Engaging with stakeholders including auditors, procurement specialists, contractors, and key business areas.
  
• Offering technical financial accounting advice and guidance on asset lifecycle assurance.
  
• Leading and mentoring junior staff within the directorate.
  

What you'll need to succeed

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• CA/CPA qualification
  
• Australian citizenship required
  
• Only candidates with security clearance can apply
  
• Prior experience in asset accounting and reporting within a complex environment.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  
• A commitment to continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
