About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join BLD Engineers as an Electrical Site Engineer. As part of our growing team, you will play a crucial role in delivering electrical engineering solutions for Energy HV projects across Australia. This is a full-time position with regular site visits required.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment on construction sites

Interpreting and implementing electrical drawings and specifications

Collaborating with project managers, construction teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery

Identifying and resolving electrical issues on site in a timely manner

Conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate safety measures

Completing accurate and detailed reporting on project progress and performance

Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians

What we're looking for

Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer in the construction industry, preferably in the energy sector

Proven track record of delivering complex electrical projects to time, cost and quality standards

Thorough understanding of electrical regulations and safety standards.

Experience conducting Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and equipment testing for MV and HV systems.

Experience in preparation and verification of drawings.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, PowerFactory & Electrical Drafting.

Knowledge of Omicron CPC 100 operation

Primary and secondary injection testing experience

Blueprints and control wiring interpretation

Experience in troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Experience in technical documentation and ITP review

MV/HV substation construction experience

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and stakeholder management skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Willingness to travel to project sites and work FIFO as required
