About the role

Junee Community Centre Inc' is seeking a dedicated Roster Officer to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the complex rostering and scheduling needs of our residential aged care and disability support services. Based in Junee, NSW, this position plays a critical role in ensuring our clients receive high-quality, consistent care.

What you'll be doing

Develop and maintain efficient staff rosters, taking into account shift patterns, leave, and other operational requirements

Communicate roster changes and updates to care staff in a timely manner

Liaise with team leaders and managers to coordinate staff availability and respond to fluctuating care needs

Identify and resolve staffing issues or shortages, ensuring continuity of care

Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, overtime, and leave

Provide administrative support to the management team as required

Respond to general enquiries and provide professional counter service when required.

Participate in the on-call roster as required to support urgent rostering needs.

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a roster management or scheduling role, ideally within the aged care or disability services sector

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with care staff and managers

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Proficient in using roster management software and other relevant IT systems

A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and their families

Relevant qualifications or certifications in community services or a related field would be highly regarded
