Paragon are pleased to be partnering with a fast growing Underwriting Agency with a reputation for professionalism, great people and the ability to deliver to a demanding broker market.
This Underwriting agency although based in Perth works with brokers nationally.
They have unique and fantastic products, great internal IT and systems and the most important thing, a wonderful, supportive collection of human beings working in the business.
They are now looking to add to this collective.
For transparency purposes, it should be said this is a job. It's not a role that has high profile career prospects, it's a role to take on now, and carry on doing until it's not fun anymore....(knowing the people you could be working with, that may be a very long time !.
The role is: Insurance Administrator
As the Insurance Administrator, you will back up the Business Manager, as well as the Business Leaders who are also the main Underwriters.
Your IT skills will be essential, (think Excel spreadsheets and you will be 100% correct). You will also be using and introduced new systems and your confidence to grasp this will be much needed...
What will you be doing ?
In a nutshell - everything except frontline Underwriting.
So from the basic document and daily insurance administration, to creating registers, to taking broker queries, (and dealing with them), working on special projects, and even being a part of representing this company at functions and exhibitions at times.
You will be busy, but fun busy. You will come in to the office just 2 days a week (more if you prefer, that's down to you), and work from home the rest.
Your training will come all areas, from the Underwriting Heads, to the MD to the Business Manager.
What experience will you need ?
Quite simple - Good IT Skills, a current understanding of insurance, the ability to work unsupervised and be pro active on tasks and a great personality. (You must already be in the insurance industry). Happy to work full time, but with flexibility as mentioned above.
On offer is a good base salary, together with being part of a business wide bonus scheme.
Who would suit this role ?
Someone in insurance who wants to be busy, but doesn't necessarily want a high flying career, you want to matter, you want to know you matter, but you want to work 8.30 to 5 and be happy with what you have done in the day.
