Assistant Accountant – South Perth

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our close-knit team based in South Perth.

Key Responsibilities

Processing accounts receivable and accounts payable

Managing payroll across multiple projects

Liaising with suppliers and responding to enquiries

Performing bank and credit card reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger

Assisting the Finance Manager with end-of-month processes

Preparing BAS and other statutory returns

Supporting statutory audits

Providing general administrative and ad hoc accounting support

What We’re Looking For

A degree in Commerce or Accounting

3–5 years’ experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role

Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced)

Experience with Xero accounting software (preferred)

A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude

Availability to start immediately is desirable
