ROLE EXPECTATIONS: This role is crucial to the continued growth and success of the business. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to expand the company’s presence within the Melbourne architectural and design market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within sectors such as high-end residential, commercial developments, and design practices.
  • Proactively prospect and engage with architects, interior designers, developers, and commercial builders.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers in the architecture and design community.
  • Represent the company at trade events, exhibitions, and industry functions to enhance visibility and drive brand engagement.
  • Collaborate with design professionals to offer customised flooring solutions that meet both functional and aesthetic project requirements.
  • Provide product expertise, technical advice, and support throughout all phases of the project cycle.
  • Ensure seamless project delivery from initial consultation through to completion, positioning the company as a trusted flooring partner.

CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS:
We’re seeking a high-performing, self-motivated professional with a proven background in sales and business development within the building materials sector. You will bring:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in architectural and design-focused sales, ideally in flooring, surfaces, or related building materials.
  • Demonstrated on-road sales experience, with a history of managing a territory, face-to-face client interactions, and consistent new business generation.
  • A strong hunting and prospecting mindset — a must for this role.
  • Solid understanding of architectural products and how they integrate into modern design and construction projects.
  • Ability to work independently and drive your own pipeline, while also collaborating effectively with the internal team.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A track record of negotiating and closing high-value deals across complex sales cycles.
