Hydrotherapy Brisbane is a unique physiotherapy practice with a focus on aquatic physiotherapy treatment for people from 3 months to 96+ years. We are searching for an outstanding Allied Health or Medical Receptionist and Facility Support (full time or part time (min 30hrs) to join our team!

The successful candidate will share responsibility for the day to day management of our reception desk, as well as the completion of a variety of administration and facility management tasks. You will work in a supportive environment with dedicated Physiotherapists and Administration Staff. It is a busy multi-practitioner practice with few quiet times. Prepare to meet people who come to us when they have been injured or life has taken an unexpected turn.

About the role

As part of a team responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Answering phones, and being able to market our services.

Excellent telephone manner and pleasant manner with patients

Making appointments and maintaining electronic clinic diaries

Processing patient payments and rebates

Ability to use initiative.

Proven ability to work within a team and also to work independently.

Data entry for statistics and record keeping.

Upgrading office and practice policies and procedures.

Providing support to the physiotherapy staff and clinic Directors.

Maintain and tidy clinic and reception areas, patient change areas, gym and pool areas (there is a dedicated cleaner)

Learn about pool chemistry and a functioning therapy pool.

Standard open / close cleaning duties and other duties that requires physical fitness.

Checking on maintenance requirements for physiotherapy and pool equipment

Experience in any area of disability a benefit. Our patients are multi aged and multi ability.

You will require CPR and a pool rescue in-service is provided. Swimming ability essential.

Skills and experience

Our ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge of Medicare, NDIS, DVA and Private Health Funds and claims through HICAPS.

Previous health reception, customer service and office experience in a busy physiotherapy practice or medical front desk role.

Practice software experience: PPMP (Physiotherapy Practice Management Program) or similar.

Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (including word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook).

The ability to multitask is essential.

An ability to manage in a very busy multi-practitioner practice.

A warm, caring and friendly personality while able to keep on track with job requirements.

The ability to start as soon as possible

Hydrotherapy Brisbane is offering a Full time (or close to) position, based at our Aspley facility.

Work from home not possible.

We are open 7am - 6.30/7pm Monday – Thursday, 7am- 3.30pm Friday and Saturday morning 7-12 midday. You would need to close or open on at least 4 days & work occasional Saturday mornings. All staff work to help cover holidays and gaps.
