About the Position

The Facilities Project Officer assists the Facilities Senior Project Officer and Manager Waste, Fleet and Facilities in the successful management, preservation and provision of the City's community facilities. Working under limited supervision, the Facilities Project Officer will be required to assist in delivering projects from initiation, design development, procurement, contract administration, construction and hand-over.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications related to architecture, design, facilities asset management, and/ or building and construction, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in asset, contract, WHS and project management with sound knowledge of principle and techniques.
• Experience in developing budgets and monitoring costs.
• Experience in the development and delivery of capital works programs.
• Strong time management and organisation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills and experience.
• A current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
• A current National Police Clearance.
