The Role
Exciting opportunity to join the Town’s small but mighty Contracts and Leasing team as our Senior Property and Leasing Officer.
In this pivotal role, you’ll manage commercial and community properties and provide expert advice to ensure the effective management of the Town’s property portfolio. Your property knowledge and expertise will also support the Directorate across a range of tasks including but not limited to conducting reviews, supporting special projects and assisting in the budget process.

What we are looking for
The successful candidate’s core values will mirror the Town’s values of Friendly and Helpful, Teamwork, Creativity, Integrity, and Respect, and be able to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated understanding and experience in the management of property, leases, licenses and other land usage contracts.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislative provisions, particularly Local Government Act and Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) and good analytical skills, with the ability to problem solve while maintaining quality working relations with stakeholders.
Experience with property, and leases in Local Government would be highly regarded.
High level analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to inspire or support innovative thinking.
Ability to establish and maintain respectful and professional interactions with members of staff and of a diverse community and provide advice/services and handle a range of issues.
Eligibility
Australian working rights (birth certificate, current passport or current visa).
Current ‘C’ Class drivers licence.
