Tenure: Fixed-term, Part-time (0.5 FTE) (Until 30 June 2028 with the Possibility of Extension)
Location: Kensington, Western Australia
Swan Canning Waterways Branch plays a pivotal role in the management and protection of the Swan Canning Riverpark, as guided by the Swan and Canning Rivers Management Act 2006 and the Swan Canning River Protection Strategy. The Branch is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Swan Canning Riverpark and the handling of development proposals affecting the Riverpark.
We are currently seeking an Urban Rivers and Catchments, Project Administration Officer to join our team.
The Urban Rivers and Catchments, Project Administration Officer provides project and administrative support for the development and delivery of the Urban Rivers and Catchments Program and supports collaborative relationships to achieve results with internal and external stakeholders. The role also provides general administrative and project support more broadly across the River Systems Management Unit and Swan Canning Waterways Branch as required

Selection Criteria
- Experience in undertaking administrative and project support activities.
- Good organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to, effectively organise, schedule, prioritise and monitor work to meet project outcomes, deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills, with demonstrated experience and competence in communicating with a wide range of audiences including other government departments, local governments, Natural Resource Management and community groups, industry and private sector organisations.
- Good oral and written communication skills including an ability to prepare correspondence, presentations and format information in a manner that is logical and correct.
