VEGA HSE is currently working with a global Project Management consultancy who are looking to appoint a site based HSE consultant for a series of construction builds in Melbourne's western suburbs.

Reporting directly to the senior project manager you will be expected to manage and advise the client and contractor on all safety issues related to the project. You will be expected to liaise with all staff and sub contractors on site. When required you will conduct progress meetings, produce reports and ultimately influence the safety culture.

Along with regular floor walks and staff interaction you will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and root cause analysis investigations.

Due to the nature of the projects, safety consultants with a background in mechanical / electrical and commercial refurb construction are encouraged to apply. Further training will be supplied in the early stages of the project.

To apply for this role you must have a minimum qualification of cert IV in workplace health and safety and have relevant experience in a construction environment. You must have a right to work in Australia.

This is a minimum minimum 6 month contract role however the project is expected to run for 12 months.
