Construction (civil/buildings) experienced Health & Safety consultant- 1st June start date

Partnering with one of our major Global clients to find an experienced client-side construction Health and Safety consultant. Personally knowing the Project Director for many years, she is fantastic and creates a brilliant construction team.

Initially a 12 month contract with a view to go for 2 years and even potentially beyond. With $2bn of projects in the pipeline, this role would be overseeing the projects in the Northern/Western side of Melbourne. Major building and civil works, packages range from $50m- $200m.

Your new role

Reporting to our client's Construction Manager, the Safety Consultant is a Client Health and Safety Representative and is responsible for monitoring the intended construction work
on the project. This includes monitoring and evaluating the contractors on site, by working alongside the builders safety rep ensuring the works are delivered in the correct safety procedure by doing all inspections and completing all reports. This role will be based across 3 sites North and West of Melbourne. The role will start on the 1st of June by the latest.

The project for the next 6 months will predominantly be the civil works.

What you'll need to succeed

Our client's request you MUST have;

10 years experience working in Victoria within the major civil and construction sector

Experience working on major civil and or /building projects $20m+.

Residential experience not acceptable.
Tier 1 or contractor experience, client-side experience would be beneficial.

Able to be based on site 4 or 5 days/week.
