A reputable aged care construction company is currently seeking a proactive Health and Safety Officer who isn’t afraid to jump on the tools when needed and is eager to take the next step in their career
Qualifications & experience
OH&S Induction Training for Construction Industry Workers (White Card)
Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a similar industry but not essential
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Tasks & responsibilities
Act as the main health and safety contact on the site. Consult with all persons and offer advice and assistance
Ensure that all health and safety related issues are identified and suitably controlled or escalated to Management
Ensure site safety requirements are achieved in accordance with Company procedures
Lead in the resolution of OHS related issues onsite
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
Good communication skills
Demonstrated ability to perform general labouring tasks.
