Local Workforce Hire has been engaged by our client, a leading national supplier to the construction industry, government, and trade markets, to find their next Customer Service champion. This full-time position is based in Queanbeyan and offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a small team.

About the Role
As the first point of contact for customers—whether in-store, over the phone, or online—you’ll play a key role in delivering service excellence.

You’ll assist with sales support, quotes, product enquiries, and order processing for a range of high-demand products, including:

• Safety and workwear apparel
• Footwear, gloves, glasses
• Tools, signage, and cleaning products

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing a welcoming and professional customer experience
• Handling inbound enquiries via phone, email, and in-person
• Preparing and following up on quotes
• Processing sales orders and coordinating deliveries
• Spotting opportunities to upsell complementary products
• Troubleshooting issues and following up to ensure satisfaction
• Working with internal teams to meet branch goals

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in customer service, internal sales or retail
• Confidence in speaking with customers and managing orders
• Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail
• A can-do attitude and a team-first mindset
• Experience in the construction supply industry is a bonus
• Good computer skills – familiarity with Microsoft Office is a must
• A current driver’s license
