Location: Sydney CBD
Salary Package: AU$120,000 - 150,000 + Super (dependent on experience)
Role Highlights:

A development focused opportunity to join an entrepreneurial fast-growing Insurance business that has moved from start-up to scale-up in its evolution cycle. Support an outstanding Head of Actuarial with a range of Pricing focused activities as the organisation builds on a strong suite of Intermediated products.

Role Overview

You will be tasked with taking over the maintenance and refinement of the function, supporting underwriting activity and product diversification through sophisticated pricing methodologies and techniques.

In the short-term, you will review existing models, develop new processes, build internal relationships and lay the foundations for new model development as the business launches further products in future.

Responsibilities

• Review and recalibrate existing GLM Models to ensure fit for purpose
• Develop new Models alongside Actuarial and Product team upon the launch of new products in the organisation
• Conduct annual pricing and large loss reviews across all products
• Support ad hoc pricing activities alongside the team
• Develop and improve pricing processes with a learning loop and continuous improvement lens

Candidate Profile

• Commercial Pricing or Data Science background with an Australian-based Insurer
• Ideally exposure to both Short- and Long-Tail products
• Accomplished with GLM Pricing Models and processes
• Demonstrated background working closely with Senior Underwriters
• Either Actuary or Data Scientist with a Statistical
