About the Position

The Business Development Manager contributes to the success and growth of the company by building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving growth across all three sales channels – Retail, Trade and Reseller. Working closely with our General Manager and internal teams, you’ll take the lead in growing our networks across QLD, NSW, VIC, and potentially beyond. You will be responsible developing go-to-market plans, and delivering tangible sales results. While working alongside a small, close knit team to increase sales opportunities, liaise with clients and actively contribute towards team targets, directly impacting the company’s goals and budgets.

Core duties include:

Develop and execute a growth plan to expand the customer base across QLD, NSW, and VIC.

Conduct regular customer visits and product training sessions.

Collaborate on marketing activities to support customer engagement and brand awareness.

Identify opportunities to grow sales, improve pricing strategies, and increase profitability.

Produce customer sales reports and market segmentation insights.

Handle customer issues professionally and liaise with production to resolve quality concerns.

Support stocktakes and attend customer sites as required.

Work closely with customer service, internal sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service.

Report directly to the General Manager, contributing insights and strategy for future growth.

Education, Skills & Experience

Proven experience (3 years) in business development, account management, or sales within construction, manufacturing, or building products.

Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Commercial mindset with a focus on margin growth and customer value.

Confident working across departments including sales, production, and logistics.

Willingness to travel regularly across multiple states.

Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
