About the Role:
Due to strong market growth, we are expanding our sales team and seeking a results driven individual to join us as Business Development Manager – Western Australia.
In this key role, you will work closely with our current Western Australia based Business Development Manager and the National Sales Manager to drive top-line, profitable sales revenue for BTS across the assigned market segment.
Initially, this position will be home office based, with plans underway to establish a dedicated office/warehouse facility in Perth within the next six months. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team during an exciting period of expansion and play a central role in shaping our presence in the region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role presents an exciting opportunity to play a key part in driving business growth and contributing to the company’s overall sales success. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for building strong relationships, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service across both metropolitan and regional sales territories.
You will be driven to deliver value and build strong partnerships with our business and customers by:
Managing the full sales cycle — from business development and prospecting to closing deals and providing ongoing customer support
Conducting on-site sales calls, delivering compelling product presentations and demonstrations
Building and maintaining strategic relationships within our existing customer base
Promoting and advocating for BTS product lines to both current and prospective customers
Engaging in proactive business development activities and identifying new growth opportunities
Conducting regular market research and competitor analysis to inform sales strategies
Providing consistent and insightful reporting on sales trends and activity
About You:
You are a results driven professional with a passion for safety solutions and customer success. To thrive in this role, you will bring:
4–5 years of experience in industrial Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sales, with a strong background in fall protection solutions highly regarded
A proven track record of successfully developing new markets and applying a strategic, collaborative approach to account management
Strong skills in delivering impactful presentations and product demonstrations
An inquisitive mindset with a natural curiosity to explore new opportunities and solutions
A clear drive for results and achieving targets
A strong customer focus, coupled with outstanding negotiation abilities
High levels of resilience, professionalism, and credibility with clients, suppliers, and peers
A team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
Experience in engineered height safety and confined space solutions (highly advantageous)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory
