VPS-3 | 6 Weeks | Full-time | Hybrid - Melbourne CBD / WFH

The Role

The Business Services Officer within the Procurement and Business Frameworks Unit plays a key role in supporting the department's procurement and contract management functions. Working as part of a small, dynamic team, you will be responsible for managing procurement data, maintaining records, and supporting compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain procurement and contract data in corporate systems (e.g., Oracle).

  • Support the development and administration of procurement and contract policy frameworks.

  • Conduct data investigations and provide timely and effective customer service across all staff levels.

  • Maintain records in line with legislative and departmental requirements (TRIM).

  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes.

  • Act as a first point of contact for procurement and contract queries.
Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in accurate data entry and information management.

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to interpret and manage financial and contractual documentation.

  • Previous experience using Oracle and TRIM (highly desirable).

  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
