We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team at Laser Dermatology! Conveniently located near bustling Box Hill, this permanent part-time role offers stability, meaningful work, and the chance to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment.

Position: Dermatology Receptionist

Location: Laser Dermatology, 503 Elgar Road, Mont Albert North.

Working Hours: This role includes a permanent part-time roster of 4 days per fortnight, with an additional 3-month fixed-term contract of 5 extra days per fortnight.

Position Type: Permanent part-time + 3-month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism.

Manage phone enquiries, schedule appointments, and oversee patient bookings.

Process payments, invoices and EFTPOS transactions.

Handle billing with Medicare and DVA and reconcile banking transactions.

Ensure accurate and efficient patient records and information management.

Support the medical team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Deliver excellent customer service to enhance the patient experience.

Have an ability to cover annual leave and sick leave on short notice.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in medical reception or a similar role (3-5 years preferred).

Familiarity with medical software (experience with Xestro is a plus).

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable with strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
