THE COMPANY

Our client are a family owned and operated building company that services South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
They are Open Licenced builders that have dedicated teams that specialise in insurance building repair, strata community repair, bespoke new home buildings and renovations.

THE ROLE
The Business Development Manager will involve introducing new customers (B2B) to the company that increase sales revenue and the growth of the business. The BDM will cultivate and build upon existing client relationships.

DUTIES

  • Provide insight into product development and competitive positioning
  • Analyse customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services
  • Identify new market opportunities via market research and initiate contact
  • Maintain positive growth in designated market area
  • Work with company executives to implement new strategies
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, industry influencers and community representatives
  • Prospect for new and follow up on current business through a range of activities including reverse marketing, networking, social media warm leads, cold calling and attending community and industry events
  • Assist with and contribute to analyzing financial data and suggest strategies to lower overheads while increasing profit
  • Attend industry events and meetings as required which may include travel
  • Respond to all incoming enquiries promptly

ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role (within insurance/constrcution preferred)
  • Proven success in B2B sales.
  • Prior experience in a business development and/or claims management role within the general insurance industry would be an advantage.
  • Proven track record working with external partners in delivering projects that drive quantifiable economic outcomes
  • High level interpersonal skills and an ability to connect effectively with and gain cooperation from key decision makers in businesses
  • Capability of prioritizing and delegating responsibilities
