Security Clearance: Current Baseline clearance

Police Checks: The successful candidate must be able to secure a police check

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, between 8.30 am to 5.00 pm

An APS Level 6 employee would generally be required to undertake work that is complex in nature, work under limited direction with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability. Employees at this level exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. APS6 employees provide detailed technical, professional, and/or policy advice in relation to complex problems and may assist in strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. Employees may have a considerable level of public contact in relation to difficult or sensitive issues and may liaise with a range of stakeholders in a representational role. Work may involve management responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing workflows.

The National Program Delivery Branch is seeking applicants for multiple roles across the branch to support key programs.

Project Management

  • Supporting Senior Project Managers with project management activities, including end-to-end delivery.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost, and quality metrics are met.
  • Managing and monitoring project risks, actions, issues, dependencies, and decisions (RAIDD) in partnership with Senior Project Managers and working group members.
  • Raising risks and issues and developing mitigation strategies as required.
  • Developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules in partnership with Senior Project Managers.
  • Escalating project deviations to Senior Project Managers in line with tolerance thresholds.
  • Managing project change processes in partnership with Senior Project Managers.

Business Analysis/Requirements Definition and Management

  • Assisting with managing project requirements throughout the entire design, delivery, and operational lifecycle.
  • Supporting the preparation of program and project status reports, as well as responding to ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Providing technical and policy advice on complex problems related to project requirements and program delivery.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to ensure business needs and functional requirements are well-defined and aligned with program objectives.

Learning Design and Development

  • Assisting with the design and development of learning resources to support knowledge transfer, capability building, and behavioural change.
  • Supporting change management initiatives by developing training materials and resources tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Contributing to stakeholder engagement strategies to facilitate knowledge-sharing and promote the adoption of program outcomes.
