About the role
Working closely with the Senior Manager – Finance, the Finance Manager will:
• Oversee the key core finance functions including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, NDIS claiming, asset management, cash handling/ banking and house accounts.
• Establishing and maintaining effective financial controls and systems, including general ledger, reconciliations, period end and year end close processes.
• Preparation of compliance activities including BAS and FBT returns.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of finance reports to management.
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Understanding of the principles of equity, diversity and Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices.
• Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer software, including MYOB and Xero.
• Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash handling, fixed assets management and period end close process.
• Exposure to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) billing, portal, and systems.
• Established analytical skills and experience in collecting and reporting on relevant financial data.
• A strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Relevant qualifications including:
• A Commerce/ Accounting degree.
• Completion or near completion of CPA or CA.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar finance management role.
Essential requirements for the position:
• Current and valid Australian Driver’s License and the ability to confidently drive a standard vehicle in the Australian Capital Territory (Canberra) and beyond;
• Current working with vulnerable people card.
• The ability to obtain satisfactory police check upon request.
• Completion of the NDIS worker orientation module certificate; and
