The Opportunities

Our client is seeking two senior governance professionals to lead and drive a critical Governance Remediation program—one at the strategic leadership level (Head of Governance Remediation), the other at the implementation and embedment level (Governance Remediation Manager).

These roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact reform, working closely with senior executives, regulators, external advisers, and internal stakeholders to uplift governance practices across a complex, highly regulated environment.

NB: 12-month contracts with the opportunity to extend or convert to permanent appointments.

Responsibilities

While scope differs by seniority, both roles will work collaboratively and share accountability for:

Delivering the Governance Remediation program, aligned to regulatory milestones and reporting requirements.

Drafting, reviewing, and finalising governance artefacts, frameworks, charters, and board materials.

Leading or supporting high-level stakeholder engagement, including with regulators and the board.

Preparing strategic governance papers, legal agreements, and confidential submissions.

Advising on corporate governance, secretariat matters, and program implementation risks.

Contributing to uplift of internal governance capability, documentation, and policy frameworks.

Ensuring alignment with the group’s Code of Conduct, values, and risk-aware culture.

Requirements

Our client is seeking candidates with the following attributes:

For the Head of role: 10+ years’ experience including strategic leadership; and for the Manager role: 7+ years’ experience including hands-on governance implementation.

Legal qualification with governance credentials (e.g. GIA or AICD desirable).

Deep expertise in corporate governance, company secretariat, or legal advisory roles.

Demonstrated experience drafting governance documentation and advising on frameworks.

Proven ability to manage complex regulatory, programmatic, and cross-functional initiatives.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and project delivery skills.

High integrity, discretion, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
