The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. This full-time position is ideal for a proactive leader with a background in Sheet Metal Fabrication and Machining process optimisations. As Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring timely production, maintaining quality standards, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement across all production processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily production activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Supervise and coordinate production staff, promoting a culture of accountability and safety.

Develop and manage production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.

Monitor performance metrics (KPIs), identify variances, and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics.

Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

Support budgeting and resource planning efforts for the production department.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.

Manage staff training, development, and performance evaluations.

Provide regular reports to senior management on production performance and improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production or operations management role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workflow optimisation.

Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication and Machining highly preferred.

Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Proven ability to analyse data, solve problems, and drive operational improvements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP (Epicor) experience is a plus.

Strong organisational and time management skills.
