The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated and disciplined Production Manager to join our senior leadership team. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and control of our manufacturing processes to ensure vehicles are built on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role would particularly suit a veteran or ex-military leader who thrives in a structured, mission-focused environment, and is adept at using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to manage production performance, inventory control, scheduling, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the production team across multiple workstreams to deliver full vehicle builds and custom engineering solutions.
Manage production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation through our ERP system (NetSuite).
Drive operational excellence through Lean and continuous improvement practices.
Ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met across all production activities.
Coordinate closely with logistics, procurement, engineering, and quality teams to align outputs and resolve production bottlenecks.
Mentor and develop team leads and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and professional growth.
Provide clear and effective reporting on production KPIs to the executive team.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing, defence, or technical operations environment.
Ex-military background strongly regarded—particularly those with experience in logistics, supply chain, or operational planning.
Strong proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and production planning tools.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A hands-on approach with the ability to manage both people and systems effectively.
Lean Six Sigma experience or formal continuous improvement training advantageous.
Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications preferred.
