THE COMPANY

An award-winning Construction and Development company with an established presence across Gold Coast and Brisbane. With a growing portfolio of projects and an internal promotion, we are looking for a HSE Advisor to join the ranks.

THE ROLE

• Ensuring compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and management systems
• Lead and facilitate Site Risk assessments.
• Participate and review in site SWMS/JHA
• Develop strategies to reduce risk and provide expert advice.
• Inspections, interactions, audits and provide recommendations for improvements where required.
• Identification of and facilitation of best practise standards and solutions
• Lead ICAM & assist with incident investigations & safety report preparation.
• Providing on-site expertise for all on HSE matters
• Build strong, effective relationships with subbies and foster a positive working culture on site

THE PERSON

• Cert IV or above in Occupational Health & Safety or higher
• Proven experience and expertise as a HSE Advisor on Multi-level Apartments projects
• A thorough understanding of all relevant Health and Safety Legislation and Standards
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders.
• Site-based construction experience in Australia on built form projects (Commercial, High Rise or similar)
• Use of Sign Onsite & Procore desirable, not essential
