Our client, a well-established and highly respected civil contractor, is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a major regional infrastructure project in Queensland.

About the Project: The project involves complex civil and geotechnical works in a challenging and environmentally sensitive location. You will play a key role in ensuring the highest safety standards are upheld across all stages of construction.

Your Role:

• Provide on-site safety leadership and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with site management to drive a strong, proactive safety culture.

About you:

• Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or higher).
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within civil construction.
• Strong understanding of WHS regulations and safety management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience on geotechnical or major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• ICAM Qualification desirable
• Current First Aid & CPR
