The Palace Hotel - Hotel Duty Manager

Full Time, 5 shifts a week. The venue is a late night trader closing at 2am.

Young Hotels Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our vibrant team at The Palace Hotel. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of our late-night venue, including gaming, bar, bistro, operations, and accommodation. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a thriving culture, lead by example, and make a significant impact while working closely with the venue's Licensee.

The Hotel Duty Manager is responsible for the management and operation of the hotel which includes bar, gaming, bistro and accommodation. The role requires a dynamic leader who can supervise staff by providing clear guidance, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

Duties:
• Operational management of Bar services
• Operational management of Gaming services
• Operational management of the Bistro
• Accommodation monitoring and guest check-ins
• Staff management and supervision
• Implementing Hotel Policies and Procedures
• Recruiting, training and supervising staff
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and licensing laws
• Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations to help improve customer service.
• Organize activities and assign responsibilities to employees to ensure productivity.
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly property inspections
• Audits on par stock on all areas to make sure that all required hotel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need
• Daily Cash / Banking reconciliation
• Opening / Closing venues
• Weekly venue performance reports

All Other duties as assigned by the Hotel Licensee and Operational Manager.
